direction and opening hours: April 1 to September 30: open daily 8:30 am to 6 pm. October 1 to March 31: open daily 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. On Mondays the museums, visitor services and book store are closed. Library and Archives: Tuesday - Friday 9 am to 3:30 pm.

S-Bahn S1 (Potsdam-Oranienburg) to Oranienburg station (last stop; travel time from Friedrichstrasse station about 50 minutes), S-Bahn S 8 (Grünau-Birkenwerder) transfer in Birkenwerder to the S1. Regionalbahn RE 5 from Berlin-Stadtbahn to Oranienburger station (travel time from Berlin-Zoologischer Garten 45 min.), Regionalbahn RB 12 from Berlin-Lichtenberg to Oranienberg station (travel time 30 min) Bus line 804 (hourly) in the direction of Malz to the memorial site in front of the station or by foot following signs (20 min).
