direction and opening hours: The Bergen-Belsen Memorial's Documentation Centre is open daily: April to September 10:00 a.m. - 18:00 p.m. October to March 10:00 a.m. - 17:00 p.m. From 15 December 2014 to 6 January 2015, the exhibition and documentation center are closed. The cemetery and the historic camp grounds are continuously accessible. There is no entrance fee.

The Bergen-Belsen Memorial is located in the southern part of Lüneburg Heath, about 60 kilometres from the town of Hanover.
